Quick 30 Minute Pizza Crust

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of dry quick rising yeast.

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 cup warm water (110 degrees F)

  • 2 1/2 cups unbleached all purpose flour

  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for about 10 minutes until foamy. Begin to beat of a low speed and add in the flour all at once. Next, add the olive oil and salt. Beat on high for about 1 minute scraping the sides of bowl as needed. The dough should be sticky but well combined.

  3. Let dough rest for 10 minutes and then remove from the mixing bowl and flatten out onto a greased baking pan. I used a circular pizza pan. Mold the dough to make an edge for the crust and poke holes in the center of the dough with a fork.

  4. Brush the dough, lightly, with olive oil and bake for 10 minutes in the oven.

  5. Remove from oven and add your sauce/toppings. I used tomato sauce and fresh veggies [brussel sprouts, beets, bell peppers, and fresh basil]! Place back in the oven and bake for 10 more minutes until the crust is golden brown and crispy.

  6. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve!
