Ingredients:
1/2 cup dairy free milk
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
cinnamon to taste
2 slices of thick bread - check out my recipe for homemade Texas Toast White Bread
Directions:
Heat a griddle on medium heat and spray with non-stick spray.
In a flat dish, mix together about vanilla extract, dairy free milk, and cinnamon.
Dip each side of the bread into the wet mixture – The dipping time depends how thick the bread you’re using is. The bread should be coated on each side but not saturated.
Place the coated bread onto the griddle like you would for a pancake – The griddle should sizzle. Wait until the bottoms are a crisp golden brown and then flip the bread over to cook the other side. Once the underneath is golden brown, remove and plate!
I love to serve my french toast along side fresh fruit and a drizzle of raw local honey.
