Broiled Grapefruit

Broiled grapefruit is great when you are craving something light, sweet, and easy to make. The light brown sugar complements the delightful bitter bite of the grapefruit so well to satisfy your taste buds. I love to sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on the tops for that extra bit of flavor. Also, the peak season for grapefruits is now until April so head over to your local grocery store, grab your citrus, and try out this recipe!

Ingredients:

  • Grapefruit - pink or red would be the sweetest options

  • Light brown sugar

  • Cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Set your oven to broil (550 degrees F)/

  2. Cut the grapefruit in half and place on a broiling pan.

  3. Use a knife to cut the segments so they are easier to spoon out and eat once cooked.

  4. Cover each grapefruit top with 2-3 teaspoons of light brown sugar and sprinkle with cinnamon.

  5. Broil in the oven for 4-5 minutes until the sugar begins to bubble and caramelize.
